Owens Engineers, Inc (OEI) provides engineering services for solar energy projects.

Solar or Photovoltaic (PV) Systems convert sun light directly to electricity using semiconductor technology. PV systems are very modular and adaptable so you can install systems as small or as large as you need. PV systems are a widely distributed energy resources and can even be provided at the point of use.

Using the mature PV module technology and proven balance-of-systems (BOS) equipment, well trained and experienced PV designers and installers following the best available information and codes can provide PV electrical systems that are safe, durable, reliable and well performing.

This is why engineering services provided by OEI is a must for your next Solar Energy Project for successful project engineering and implementations. The engineering department of OEI is headed by a licensed professional engineer (PE) in most of the states in the Midwest region. We follow detailed instructions provided by the PV and BOS equipment manufacturers, use the requirement of NEC as a minimum set of safety and installation guidelines, and our significant experience to deliver very high quality systems.  

OEI provide services in the following area:

Solar Resource Assessment
This is important to enable the customer to be certain about solar resource available at site.
Report shall be generated and provided to the customer at the end of this segment

Project Feasibility Analysis
This is part of pre-development stage that will give customer a full site analysis
Provide qualification of the site for development by removing or mitigating any potential flaws
Secure all data needed for development.
Again, report shall be generated and provided to the customer at the end of this segment

Project Development & Management
This stage begins with selecting and purchasing PV modules and other BOS equipment
Moves through the entire stage of permitting and utility company connection agreement
Then installation, construction and commissioning activities.

PV systems can be used in connection with small wind turbines and batteries. These systems are called HYBRID Solar systems and are typically used in remote, off-grid locations.

Depending on the customer’s power requirements, Owens Engineers, Inc. can provide engineering services in any sizes of solar systems. Services to be provided will be determined by customer’s energy requirement at reasonable and fair prices.
